As a proud Colombian living in Australia for 12 years, I've always been fascinated by the multicultural scene here in the land of OZ. The opportunity to connect with people from different backgrounds and learn about their ways and traditions has always been a highlight in my journey over the last decade. Similarly, there has always been a little fire burning inside of me to show people around the world the beautiful things about Colombia and share what our vibrant culture has to offer.

The idea of starting lasalida.cc and deciding to bring a brand like Safetti into Australia stems from the same desire to showcase not only top-quality products designed and manufactured in Colombia but also our deep-rooted passion for the sport of cycling which has also played a fundamental role in our culture for the past few decades. With incredibly talented and gifted cyclists in the pro peloton, it's only natural to see the exponential growth in popularity of cycling not only as a sport but for some, as a way of life. As a result, the demand for quality products has also sky-rocketed, and brands like Safetti are leading the way in innovation.

But considering it had never been sold to the Australian market, you're probably wondering what is this brand? and why do we keep raving about it? Let me take you through Safetti's story and why they have become a force to be reckoned with in the cycling clothing industry.

About Safetti

Safetti is one of the most prominent cycling apparel manufacturers and sports brands in Colombia. For over 15 years, they have been developing cutting-edge garments for athletes who want to perform at the highest level.

Their history has been marked by athletes with great triumphs who have left the name of Colombia at the top steps of the podium and continue to do so to this day.

"Cycling is not something new to us, Colombians live and breathe this sport as a lifestyle, it is in our genes."

Safetti's passion for this sport is what makes them a true world powerhouse. They always want to be the first, not to be followers. That is where their true essence comes from – in the avant-garde, because as they claim "that is the only way to create unique garments."

Safetti's Work Ethic and Culture

At Safetti they consider themselves a bit of iconoclasts, a tad irreverent, and often sui generis. "Day after day we study the way sportswear is designed and manufactured around the world: we evaluate, compare and decide our own “how” and “why”. We break paradigms when creating sportswear. And we are achieving it: we have escaped from the peloton. Since 2005 we have worked very hard so that our athletes feel that they have a special advantage by the mere fact of competing with Safetti garments. In training or when pinning a number on in competition, those who decided to be "equal to none" are recognised from afar and at first sight."
